St. Johns Primary School occupies a very restricted sloping site. The brief was to replace the existing school on the same site but to keep the school open and operational throughout. 

St John’s Primary School is a large school comprising of 25 classrooms, 7 resource bases, 2 halls, a library, a multipurpose room, a group room and a dining area served by a central kitchen off–site. 

Due to the size of the school and the site constraints the building is largely planned on two floors rising to single storey construction at the upper part of the site.
