Samuel Stevenson & Sons were appointed as Lead Architects and Economic Operators in 2019 as part of the Integrated Consultancy Team. The new shared education campus will provide new accommodation for Ballycastle High School and Cross & Passion College . Both schools have a long established, and successful, tradition of collaboration and joint working. The proposed new shared facilities at Ballycastle SEC will provide sustainable all ability non–selective education and shared education for 1180 pupils.
The project involves the development of a new core School Building, Sports Building, Sports Pavilion, EA Youth Service Day Activity Building and EA Grounds Maintenance storage building together with 2G hockey pitch, 3G GAA pitch, soccer pitch and multi–use games areas all with dedicated parking.
The public will have access via Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council to the Sports Building, Sports Pavilion and Sports pitches from 5.30pm each school day.
Work due to commence on site spring 2024.
